What was your decision making process before you purchased this product?

Across the multiple sites that Southern Cross Care (SA) Inc. operates we utilise a variety of nurse call, WiFi and DECT solutions. As part of the Oakfield Lodge building design process, external services consultants developed detailed briefs which were responded to and independently assessed for suitability, cost and partner experience.

What was the compelling reason you chose this product?

Southern Cross Care (SA) Inc. uses the Advance Care nurse call, Spectralink WiFi handsets and Meru WiFi solutions at multiple sites to best fulfil our resident experiences. At the Oakfield Lodge project we have included RTLS functionality with Ekahau which was determined as the best product for client experience, staff efficiency and site safety.

What was the reason you chose Voda Communications?

Southern Cross Care (SA) Inc. works in partnership with Voda Communications at a number of residential aged care facilities to deliver the best client outcomes and site effectiveness.

What did you find as a result of buying this product?

Utilising the Advance Care nurse call solution, Southern Cross Care (SA) Inc. has exceeded their regulatory obligations as a acute care facility. The flexibility of the product allows for the entire site to have configurable room designs, tailored to the individual needs of our residents as they change over time. The implementation of RTLS allows our staff to work more efficiently to deliver more responsive care services to our residents, maintain shared assets such as lifters and higher levels of staff safety with duress on pendant.

What specific feature did you like most about this product?

Integration of the Advance Care nurse call, Ekahau RTLS, Meru Wireless and Spectralink handsets for seamless messaging exceeds SCC expectations for site operations. The configurable nature of each solution allows for the site to configure each of these products for specific needs and determine the best solution for particular outcomes.

Would you recommend this product? If so why?

Each of these products in their own right are strong performers against their competitors. When deployed collectively they form a scalable, flexible and reliable solution that meets todays needs and future proofs our investment for needs yet to be identified.

What has your overall experience been like with our products/services?

Engaging Voda Communications for this, and other, projects has resulted in a good experience for all involved. Site based staff are consistently informed and supported by the installation team, the builders/project managers were complimentary of the installation teams conduct and workmanship and ongoing support is always of a high standard.
